Mother’s Day Essay and Poetry Contest Winners

Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) announced the winners of his annual Mother’s Day essay and poetry contest for students in grades two through five. They are:

Grade 2: Emily Chan, “My Mom Is Beautiful”, PS 94 at Douglaston

Grade 3: Zoe Lee, “My Mom Deserves a Free Vacation”, PS 221 in Little Neck

Grade 4: Divyanshi Panda, “My Mother Knows Everything”, PS 115 at Glen Oaks

Grade 5: Alice Song, “Dandelions”, PS 79 in Whitestone

“Emily, Zoe, Divyanshi and Alice each submitted well-composed, thoughtful and creative essays to my office’s Mother’s Day Poetry and Essay Contest. Their families, teachers and school communities should be very proud,” said MP Braunstein. “I would like to thank all of the students from schools in Northeast Queens who took the time to participate and submit entries this year. I wish all students and their families in Northeast Queens a safe and happy summer. »

All winners will receive a gift card and certificate of achievement from the New York State Assembly.
