Mississippi State University Libraries will host their third annual Undergraduate Poetry Contest to celebrate National Poetry Month in April. Undergraduate students are invited to submit a poem by April 1 to Corinne Kennedy, Design Library Coordinator (ckennedy@library.msstate.edu). You can also email him for any questions.
The winners will receive a prize as well as a congratulations evening on April 28, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the Grisham Hall.
First Prize: $100
Second Prize: $75
Third Prize: $50

Rules of the poetry contest:
- Deadline for submission before April 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
- Only Mississippi State University undergraduates are eligible to enter
- All poems submitted must be original and unpublished
- No more than 80 lines per poem
- 1 poem per person
- All entries should be submitted to Corinne Kennedy: ckennedy@library.msstate.edu
- Label the email with the subject line “MSU Poetry Contest 2022 Entry”
- Submit a poem in a Microsoft Word document (Google Docs will not be accepted and disqualified from entry)
- Signed release form attached for publication in The tram
The poems will be judged blind.
The winners will be announced on April 25.
