Milton Public Library Hosts Teen Poetry Contest

To celebrate National Poetry Month, the Milton Public Library (MPL) will host a poetry contest for teens.

The competition, which will run from now until April 22, will give participants aged 13-19 a chance to have their original poem featured on all MPL receipts for the month of May, as well as in the newsletter of the next month. .

Poem submissions may be of any length or style using a prompt provided by the MPL on Spring in Milton.

Parental or guardian consent will be required for participants under the age of 18.

MPL will also be hosting a workshop this month that will allow residents of all ages to learn how to write poetry in any language.

No prior knowledge of poetry is required and participants will learn to write poetry in the language of their choice.
