KEC student reaches national final
Al Gilbert, a year 11 student at Kildonan-East Collegiate, is a finalist in the Poetry in Voice competetion.
Gilbert, who qualified for the final round last year, is competing in the English national final, along with Bem Denga and Stephanie Omorotionmwan of Calgary, Alta., who were selected by a panel of judges.
Each finalist will refilm their recitations, and these new versions will be judged by a jury of poets on April 21 and can be viewed at www.poetryinvoice.com/recite/senior-nationals
