POETRY GONG / “New to you” Day 6

October 18, 2010
By

You’re almost done! You have written six poems. Celebrate this one with your fellow poets. It’s a big one: The Next To The Last one. The You Rock one. The You Are Going To Make It one. Pat yourself on the back and post your link or poem in the comments here.

What is this all about?

Some of us under the Big Tent are writing a poem-a-day for seven days on the theme “new to you” (click here to see what this is all about). If this challenge isn’t something that interests you and you’d just like to stick to the weekly prompts, that’s perfectly OK. We are hosting our weekly prompts alongside these gongs, so feel free to ignore this madness, and please hold your weekly prompt responses for our Friday gatherings.

You know, don’t you, that November is only a few days away. Poetic Asides is running its PAD Chapbook challenge, and a whole lot of madwriters are doing NaNoWriMo, which only asks for 50,000 words in the form of a novel. just sayin’

i love both of those challenges. i do the 30 days in april and i did 30 days in october once with jill. i tried nanowrimo three times and only succeeded once. :)

not sure what i’m up for this november. i am toying with napping. but if i don’t nap, the PAD challenge is on my list. :)
